  The food at the tavern is excellent. It's cooked and presented beautifully and the portion sizes are quite decent. A big thumbs up for the wood fired oven - we had some lovely oven baked fish. The staff are very friendly - Brendan really made us feel welcome and took the time to talk to us even though it was busy. The food is a little bit expensive for pub food though. I think that this is easily the best option for eating in Swansea, it was the only one recommended by our B&B hosts and other locals.

  Excellent counter meals and friendly service. Local fish and Cape Grim steak on the menu. Popular with locals. Good bottle shop.

  Excellent home made food. Everyone had something different, and everyone was delighted. Fabulous, feeding a bus load in record time. Will go there again.

  Went to the tavern was never made to feel more welcome anywhere. Was so pleased went back for breakie at the Bakery was not disappointed. Extremely friendly wonderful food, very quick serving meals. What more could you ask for.

  Commenting for the Tavern. We stopped in for dinner on our way to Freycinet and would highly recommend. Food was decent and admittedly the price was a little bit high but to be expected for a country town. Would also recommend booking if you can as the tables in the dinning room were full on our arrival however we were moved once a table became free in the dining area which is much nicer than the cafeteria style tables at the entrance.
